Location and Directions
The Jay Chalet is located at 35 Sequoia Mountain Lane in the Woodlands in
Jay, NY. Even though the chalet is deep within the Adirondack Park, it
is easy to get to from the New York Northway (Interstate Route 87).

The first two maps
on the left show where Jay, NY is located within the
Eastern U.S. and the Adirondack Park.
Directions traveling north on the Northway (Interstate Route 87):

Take Exit 30 and turn left at the end of the ramp. This is route 9
north & 73 west.

Follow 73 West to the town of Keene about 15 miles.

In Keene, bear right and take route 9N north towards Upper Jay and Jay.

In Jay, after about 9.5 miles, turn left onto route 86 west.

On the right after about 1 mile is the Woodlands/Ausable Acres office.

Turn right, next to the office, onto Ausable Drive.

Directions traveling south on the Northway (Interstate Route 87):

Take Exit 34 and turn left at the end of the ramp. This is route 9N
south.

Follow 9N south to the town of Jay about 16 miles.

In Jay, turn right onto route 86 west.

On the right after about 2 miles is the Woodlands/Ausable Acres office.

Turn right, next to the office, onto Ausable Drive.

The map at the right will help you navigate from the Northway (I-87) to
route 86 in Jay. Follow arrows from exit 30 if you are traveling
north and from exit 34 if you are traveling south.
Directions from Lake Placid:

Take route 86 east out of Lake Placid. Route 86 is also Main
Street in Lake Placid.

Follow 86 east past Whiteface Mnt. to the town of Wilmington about 12 miles.

Turn right at the stop sign in Wilmington, this is still route 86.

On the left after about 4 miles is the Woodlands/Ausable Acres office.

Turn left, before the office, onto Ausable Drive.

The last two maps will help you through the winding roads of Ausable
Acres.
Ausable Acres directions:

Follow Ausable Drive for about 2.5 miles.

Turn left onto Sawmill Drive.

Follow Sawmill Drive for about 1.5 miles.

Turn left onto Sequoia Mountain Lane.
