Local Guide
The Jay Chalet is located in the Adirondacks near
Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. There are many things to do in
the area to keep you busy during your stay. Great restaurants and
places to get a drink are also nearby. Use the list below to help
plan your vacation. The list is just a place to start, it's hard to
list everything. Distances from the Jay
Chalet are approximate. Again, feel free to
e-mail me if you have any
trouble finding information on something that interests you.
Outdoor Activities/Recreation:
-
Hiking -
Endless trails. Get a good trail map
from almost any local shop. Noonmark and Hurricane Mountains are great
scenic day hikes. Rocky Falls is about a 2 mile hike from the
Adirondack Loj. Nice easy day hike - swim at the falls before
heading back.
