The charming Jay Chalet is the perfect Adirondack retreat. Rest, relax, and
recharge your life. The chalet is nestled on one acre of wooded land in the serene development
called “The Acres”, between the towns of Jay and Wilmington, New York. This two bedroom,
one bath, rustic chalet has all the amenities of home. Cook meals in, barbeque on the back
deck, or eat out at any one of the areas establishments. From casual dining to five
star restaurants, your choices are unlimited!
You can stroll down the road and take in nature’s sights and sounds on the banks of
the Ausable River or picturesque Lake Eaton (1.5 miles away) with amenities for the whole family
like picnic tables, a charcoal grill, a baseball field, tennis courts, a swing set for the kids
and a hiking path that goes around the entire lake.
Experience all that Lake Placid and the surrounding areas have to offer like Whiteface Mountain
(10 minutes) or Lake Placid Olympic Village (20 minutes away). There are many events in town that
run all through the summer months.
Hiking and biking trails are just out the front door or cool off and take in some sun at the natural
wonders of the Jay Swimming Hole and Covered Bridge Recreational Area (5 miles away).
The chalet has 2 twin beds in the first floor bedroom and 1 full bed in the cozy loft bedroom.
The wood burning stove will keep you warm on those cool Adirondack evenings. (Don’t forget
to bring your sweatshirts.) Relax and do nothing or do everything and plan a fun-filled,
action-packed Adirondack vacation!
The house is available to rent from April 1st through October 31st.
